Surge Tank
Surge tank can be taken as two phase secondary separtion after three phase separator which hold a constant pressure by back pressure control system. Normally it is dual compartment design. And there is measuring system like sightglass or magnetic level gauge to watch the liquid level. High-Low level alarm is to help service people swich the compartment.
Surge tank is pressure vessel which is made according to ASME VIII and U mark is stamped on nameplate.
